Convocation 2015​

The Aga Khan University celebrated yet another milestone, the 15th ​anniversary of the establishment of the University in East Africa. To commemorate this special occasion, the Convocation ceremony in Uganda was presided by the Chancellor, His Highness the Aga Khan.​

The Convocation ceremony was held at Victoria Hall, Kampala Serena Hotel on Thursday, February 26, 2015. The School of Nursing and ​Midwifery graduated 49 students this year. The degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing was conferred upon 22 graduates while 27 graduates were conferred with the Diploma in General Nursing. Eight graduates of Institute for Educational Development, based in Tanzania, also received their Master of Education degree during this ceremony.​​

This year's valedictorian speech was delivered by Betty Mase​ngere, a graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing programme.
