​Convocation 2019​

The Aga Khan University held its​ Convocation ceremony​ in Tanzania on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 where a total of 39 students were conferred degrees: 26 received Master’s degrees in Education while 13 were awarded Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees. 

The ceremony’s Chief Guest Hon. Anne Makinda, former Speaker of Tanzania’s National Assembly, reiterated the quality of AKU’s courses and called on the graduates to make an impact in their communities.

“Every day, AKU is improving quality of life for the people of Tanzania, and helping government to meet its health and education goals,” AKU President Firoz Rasul said. “We are working hard to develop a new Diploma in Education to support the government’s goal of up skilling primary school teachers.”

Abdallah Shaaban Hoza, a graduate of the Master in Education programme delivered the valedictory address.
