The Aga Khan University is pleased to offer graduates an AKU alumni email address to serve as a lifetime link to the alma mater. You can request yours today by completing the relevant online form and uploading copies of necessary documents.
The mailboxes associated with alumni email accounts have been allocated a generous 49 GB storage capacity, and also have provision that allows for messages to be forwarded to a chosen personal account (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc).
The alumni email address will include the user name in the order it appears on the AKU degree/diploma along with the two digit graduation year and ending with @alumni.aku.edu (e.g. Aisha Salim Khan, Class of 1999: email@example.com, or Joseph Solomon Kamau, Class of 2010: firstname.lastname@example.org).
In case of name changes after graduation or for individuals with multi-part names (eg: first, middle 1, middle 2, last), present/preferred user name may be requested, provided it appears in one of the uploaded documents.
In the event a user name is already taken, an alternate may be generated utlising the requestor's initials or by flipping the name sequence (eg: email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org).
Please have the following documents ready to upload before proceeding (PDF, JPEG, PNG and Word format only):
- Copy of AKU qualification (degree, diploma, etc)
- Copy of Government issued ID (CNIC, national ID, driving license, passport, etc)
The issuance process by IT takes 10 - 15 working days.
