Recognising Your Commitment to Learning

At AKU our merit-based, transparent admissions process and generous financial assistance ensure that a diversity of high calibre students are able to attend AKU.

While we don’t discriminate on faith, gender or national origin, we are selective in the students we accept. Our selection process varies by academic programme, but some common criteria include:

  • Fluency in the English language
  • Prior transcripts and performance
  • Proficiency in subject matter pertaining to a specific academic programme
  • Critical reasoning skills
  • Attitude and availability

Scholarships, grants and other financial support are available to make sure that every admitted student can attend. 

Registrar's Office

The Registrar's Office is reponsible for all matters related to admission, enrolment and statistical reporting, record keeping, including the issuing of transcripts, convocation and the verification of student records.  In addition, the Registrar's Office attends to student and campus life, residences and alumni affairs.
