Overview

The ECD component aims at engaging with key stakeholders to improve the practice of early childhood education and development (ECED) in some of the remotest areas of Pakistan. It also works closely with government agencies and policymakers to review the ECED strategy and plans from the provincial to the district level.

Activities and outcomes

  • Capacity development of ECD facilitators and trainers
  • ECD Policymakers training of government officials and programme managers /administrators
  • Content development, adaptation, and translation
  • Review and adapt faculty standards for rural, and ECD service provision,
  • Review and update national, provincial and district policies, strategies and plans related to ECD
  • Technical support to equip public and private ECD facilities and resource hubs to enable quality ECD delivery
