Programme Title: Enhancement of Pedagogical and Teaching Capacities of Faculty Members

Partner's Name: Ismaili Tariqah and Religious Education Board - Community Development Foundation (CDF)

About the Training: A customized capacity-building program designed to enhance the competencies of volunteer teacher educators. The training focuses on the IIS Primary Ta'lim Curriculum, effective teaching and learning practices, and innovative educational approaches. It includes blended learning (face-to-face sessions, online sessions, and field-based practicum) and aims to prepare selected participants as master trainers who can design and facilitate professional development workshops for other volunteer teachers.

Number of Participants: 200 educators from Upper Chitral and Puniyal/Ishkoman regions.

Programme Title: Strengthening Early Childhood Education in Afghanistan (AKES-Afghanistan)

About the Training: AKU‑IED designed and delivered a fully online Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED) Certificate Programme for AKES, Afghanistan, equipping educators with advanced pedagogical knowledge and practical strategies to strengthen holistic child development. Through interactive sessions, micro‑teaching, reflective assignments, and demonstrated gains across pre‑, mid‑, and post‑assessments, the programme not only enhanced professional competence for 15 participants but also built long‑term sustainability by preparing 10 of them as Master Trainers.

Programme Title:Train the Trainer Certification (AKES-Pakistan)

Partner's Name: Aga Khan Education Service- Pakistan

About the Training: In partnership with AKES Pakistan, AKU‑IED delivered a comprehensive 12‑day residential Training‑of‑Trainers (ToT) programme to strengthen teacher development across Gilgit‑Baltistan and Chitral, training 30 master trainers in curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment through a customized certificate model adapted from the AKU‑IED BEd curriculum. These master trainers subsequently cascaded their learning to 80 additional teachers, enhancing classroom practices, promoting holistic student development, and collectively benefiting 110 educators across the region.
