    Introduction

    Munira Amirali is an academician with twenty-eight years of experience in school and university teaching in Pakistan. She teaches and supervises graduate students in teacher education, mathematics education and technology integration in teaching and learning.  She is interested in researching mathematics teachers' beliefs and practices and works with teachers to improve their teaching practices.  Based on her excellence in teaching in higher education, she received a fellowship award from the Higher Education Academy, UK and is also one of the inaugural members of AKU Teachers’ Academy.
