    Introduction

    Dr Meher Rizvi is an Associate Professor at AKU-IED. Her key leadership positions include Head, Graduate Programmes; Coordinator, MEd Programme; Faculty Chair; Academic Review Committee Chair; lead for National Curriculum of Pakistan and Member of AKU's Appointments and Promotions Committee. She obtained a prestigious International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) for her PhD from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia. Her research interests include teacher professional development and professionalism; teacher professionalization and status; curriculum; creative pedagogies; diversity, inclusion, and equity; teachers’ and students’ empowerment and leadership. She has several publications in international journals and books.
