Academic Programmes

The Institute of Educational Development East Africa was established in 2006, with a mission to work with teachers and educational leaders throughout East Africa in providing high quality training through masters programmes, certificate courses, short courses and workshops.  We are proud to have graduates of our programmes now working with us in the IED, with others in key leadership positions across the region.

Modeling good practice in schools, a variety of teaching and assessment methods are used.  Teaching is informed through scholarship and faculty members’ own research.  We are determined to provide high quality education for all participants on our courses, reflecting our commitment to working with partners across East Africa in improving educational opportunities, to the benefit of teachers, pupils, schools and communities.
