Welcome to Aga Khan University’s School of Nursing and Midwifery in Pakistan. Opened in 1980, the School has collaborated with several public and private sector institutions, regulatory bodies and federations, and NGOs within Pakistan and internationally. This has enabled us to bring a diverse pool of expertise in developing innovative curriculum and evidence-based practices and has opened up opportunities for our faculty and students to connect with knowledge experts in Pakistan and globally.​

History and Vision

The School of Nursing was the first operational academic unit of the Aga Khan University and the first nursing school in the country to be affiliated with a university.​ 

The School of Nursing and Midwifery aspires to become a centre of excellence in the region. It provides the highest level of education, promoting and disseminating knowledge and technology, and providing education, research and service with particular relevance to the development of Pakistan and developing nations.
