Advanced Practice Nursing Clinical Residency Programme

The Advanced Practice Nursing Clinical Residency Programme (APN-CRP)​ is a one-year post-MScN clinical residency certification programme offered collaboratively by the Aga Khan University School of Nursing and Midwifery, Nursing Services, Aga Khan University Hospital, and Aga Khan University Medical College, Pakistan.

This first-of-its-kind programme in Pakistan is designed to strengthen advanced clinical competencies, enhance clinical decision-making, and prepare nurses for expanded practice roles in complex healthcare settings.

Built on international Advanced Practice Nursing (APN) standards and contextualized for Pakistan’s healthcare needs, the programme combines advanced clinical learning with supervised residency experience through interprofessional collaboration.

The APN-CRP aims to support the development of clinical nursing leadership while contributing to improved patient outcomes, quality of care, and advancement of the nursing profession in Pakistan.

Graduates of the programme will be equipped with advanced expertise in patient management, clinical assessment, safety and quality improvement, health promotion, and evidence-informed practice. ​
