Welcome to the Department of Family Medicine.  Our faculty, resident and staff at Aga Khan University, Nairobi are committed to ensuring top-notch patient-centered health care and patient safety, excellence in education and dedication to cutting-edge research.  Our Department is comprised of multiple sub-specialties with a diverse faculty trained both locally and internationally. Our department embraces the concept of Community Oriented Primary Care (COPC). The initiative to develop an AKU Kenya-based Family Medicine program responds to the call for private universities to participate in meeting the demand for well-trained family physicians in the public and private sectors

We have 10 Family Medicine residents, who are currently in training and make an integral part of our institution.
