Postgraduate Medical Education
We offer specialist training in General Surgery leading to the award of a Master of Medicine (MMed) degree. Comprehensive surgical training is conducted in a team-based environment, using state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge technology.
The four-year programme offers core-learning experiences in:
Cardiothoracic / vascular surgery
Neurological surgery (brain nerves and its enclosures)
Orthopaedics (traumatology) surgery
Undergraduate Medical Education
Planning for undergraduate medical education is ongoing. It is envisioned that the programme will be launched in 2015.
Continuing Medical Education
Faculty members from different sections of the department deliver approximately 50-100 CME sessions in their respective subspecialties per year to colleagues in Kenya and the East Africa region.
