Psychiatry


The Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi, Section of Psychiatry is housed within the Department of Medicine. It has one full time and three part-time faculty, both locally and internationally trained, to provide a range of service including a consultation-liaison service for inpatients, management of inpatients with primary psychiatric disorders and an outpatient service through the outpatient clinics for patients with psychiatric disorders. The Section of Psychiatry believes in a multidisciplinary and biopsychosocial approach in providing the best care possible to our patients. To achieve this, we work closely with other sections and departments to help improves the lives of our patients and their families.
