Critical Care

The Section of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine has 4 full-time faculty who run an 11-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and a 16-bed High Dependency Unit (HDU). Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care to our patients with pulmonary and critical care illnesses through a commitment to comprehensive clinical services, technological innovations and training the next generation of leader in medicine. Our state-of-the-art facilities in conjunction with our laboratory services and the Departments of Radiology and Pathology provide cutting edge, up-to-date medical care including invasive monitoring (intracranial pressure and hemodynamic monitoring), organ support such as invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation and bedside renal replacement therapy (dialysis).
