The members of Haile T. Debas Teachers’ Academy contribute to the development and sustainability of the overall quality of teaching at the university by engaging in peer mentorship activities, including supporting QTL_net faculty development activities such as:
• Mentoring peers on one-on-one basis.
• Engaging in their unit, QTL_net or wider University professional development activities.
• Taking a leadership role on a new initiative that they have identified a need for e.g., development of manuals on a signature pedagogy, assessment methodology etc.
• Championing best practices in teaching within their own departments and entities.
