Resident Research

Research is a key component of the Radiology Residency Training program and aspires to build an inquisitive mind in the resident that leads to creation of new knowledge through their research work.

The residents are required to have successfully completed a dissertation thesis as one of the requirements for graduation with the Master of Medicine degree. The residents get mentorship from an early stage in deriving a topic and are encouraged to conduct original research work; guidance is provided by supervisors as they progress through the various stages of their dissertation. Other opportunities for research include audits and case reports.

The residents have the opportunity to showcase their dissertation work at various Radiology meetings. For more Research topics undertaken in the department, kindly visit the Aga Khan University ecommons repository
