Musculoskeletal Radiology

The section of Musculoskeletal Radiology (MSK) strives to provide high-quality imaging services and interventions through our state-of-the-art facilities. Our section strongly believes in a multidisciplinary approach and we have strong ties with the Orthopedics and Rheumatology sections.

Imaging Services

Musculoskeletal Radiology involves musculoskeletal imaging and intervention for diagnosis and therapy. Modalities are Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (1.5T and 3T).

Several MSK procedures are also performed in our department including Joint or bursa injection and bone or soft tissue biopsy.

Education And Research

The residents have 1 or 2 MSK rotations per year. During this time they dictate cases which are then discussed with the MSK radiologist or the attending general radiologist. They are also trained in the performance of MSK ultrasound and procedures. Didactic lectures are delivered in the course of the year both by the local faculty and through a webinar.

Our section also participates in the monthly Rheumatology Multidisciplinary meeting held every fourth Monday of the month.
