Dr Ravjit Singh Sagoo, MBChB, MSc, FRCR, MRCS, DO-HNS  
Assistant Professor and Section Head

Dr Sagoo is an Assistant Professor and Section Head in Interventional Radiology at the Aga Khan University Medical College, East Africa. He received his medical degree from the University of Birmingham, UK, in 2006 and also completed his residency and fellowship training in vascular and interventional radiology in Birmingham, UK. Following his fellowship, Dr Sagoo was appointed consultant in vascular and interventional radiology at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust, UK in 2017. In addition, Dr Sagoo is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (London) and holds an MSc in health research methods from the University of Warwick for research conducted in novel neuroimaging based studies. His clinical expertise includes, but not limited to, intervention for peripheral arterial disease and venous disease, nephroureteric intervention, hepatobiliary intervention, uterine fibroid embolisation, embolisation for acute hemorrhage, tumour ablation and transarterial chemoembolisation

Dr Naushad Karim, MBChB, MMed 
Assistant Professor​

Dr Naushad is an Assistant Professor and an Interventional Radiologists at the Aga Khan University Medical College, East Africa. Dr Karim completed his MBChB degree from the University of Nairobi in December 2009 and completed his MMed in Diagnostic and Imaging Radiology from the Aga Khan University Nairobi in December 2016. He is currently working on completing his FRCR examinations. During his Radiology training, he developed interests in interventional radiology and cross-sectional thoracic and abdominal imaging. 

He has initiated the fortnightly thoracic multidisciplinary meetings with clinicians. He is interested in pursuing a fellowship in Interventional Radiology. Research interests include correlating prostate histology findings with PIRADS and correlating lung HRCT findings with clinical working diagnosis and bronchoscopic and histological diagnosis.
