Master of Arts in Muslim Cultures
Based in central London, the Aga Khan University Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations (ISMC) two-year MA Programme offers:
A distinctive way of understanding Muslim civilisations as they have evolved over time.
Stresses the plurality and complexity of past and present Muslim cultures, studying them as part of world cultures.
Employs the tools of the social sciences and humanities as a framework for learning.
Within the disciplines of social sciences and humanities our students study a number of subjects including, development studies, economics, political science, art, architecture, history, literature, comparative religion and law.
The MA programme consists of a number of core and elective courses, which includes a field-based Language Immersion Programme (Arabic or Persian), a Communications and Leadership Programme as well as optional fieldwork that can contribute to a dissertation.
Financial assistance is available in the form of loans and partial grants.

MA Muslim Cultures Prospectus 2017
Applications are welcome throughout the year, however, the decision process is as follows:
Applications received by the early 3 January 2017 deadline should receive a decision in early March 2017.
Applications received by the 28 February deadline for 2017 entry should receive a decision in May 2017.
Note that you can send your application form via email as soon as you have completed it but all documents must be received as hard copies and postmarked 3 January or 28 February 2017 depending on your chosen deadline date.
