​Sujjawal holds an MSc degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) Pakistan. He is part of the research administration team at AKU's Centre for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research where he spearheads all activities related to science communications and promoting public engagement with science.  Previously, he was part of the cutting-edge research team at the Centre, where he contributed to a research project dedicated to developing targeted therapies for treatment-resistant Leukaemia. ​Prior to this, he served at AKU's Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in the areas of clinical genomics and heamatology. ​
