CIME, EAST AFRICA

CIME Nairobi is a 33,000-square-foot donor funded simulation-based educational institute, the first of its kind in the region, will follow the University's first such centre in Pakistan which was granted full accreditation in 2019 by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. The new Centre in Nairobi is expected to become a regional leader on par with the best simulation centres globally.

CIME has brought real-world practical experience to students in a safe and controlled environment where we can practice our clinical skills on lifelike mannequins and simulators without putting real patients at risk. My area of interest is the intensive care unit. Having critical care dynamics play out through simulation in anticipation for an actual environment with real patients gave me more confidence and improved my emergency response and management skills.

Life at AKU has been so much more than just academics; I’ve mostly been involved in sports and I've got the chance to work on my basketball skills which I intend to improve upon even more with time. A new chapter for CIME
