Technology at the centre, Nairobi

Recognising the benefits of flight simulation training in aviation, healthcare education has seen a huge expansion in the use of simulation in all areas of medical education. Mannequins which more closely resemble, and mimic human physiology – known as high fidelity mannequins – will transform education in Nursing, Midwifery and Medicine at the CIME Nairobi.

It will give trainers and clinicians the opportunity to learn, rehearse and perfect skills from the simple to the highly complex, raising expectations of what is possible in education, innovation, and learning through technology.

The Centre is also equipped with the B-line Medical Debriefing System. This advance system provides faculty and staff with a one-window solution in planning, managing, and evaluating student performance during simulated practice and Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs).
