Theoretical Basis of Nursing 

Graduate-level course​

January 19 – May 22, 2026 – One class per week
Every Wednesday | 10 am to 1 pm 

Mode of Learning: In-Person

This course is designed to stimulate students to examine conceptual foundations and selected nursing and health theories and link them to practice. Approaches to analysis, critique, and application of theories in nursing practice and research are emphasized. Students are encouraged to generate knowledge through utilization of selected theories and model appropriately, within their cultural context. They also learn to integrate the theoretical framework in the scholarship of research.

​Eligibility:

Sixteen years of education – an undergraduate degree from an accredited /recognized university

Application Process:​

Complete the Visiting Student Application Form​ ​and submit via email: visiting.application@aku.edu ​​along with the following (in PDF files) before the deadline:

  • Completed and signed application form along with photograph
  • Attested copy of degree and marks sheet of sixteen years of schooling in the relevant field as mentioned in the criteria.
  • Attested copy of CNIC / Passport
  • Attested copy of work experience letter​. 
Interested candidates are encouraged to ensure that their applications are duly completed, as incomplete applications will not be processed.
Kindly note, AKU may request for additional documentation or equivalence certificate to seek clarity on your qualification.
