Haron N. Kibwage
Finance and Administration Manager

Haron currently serves as the Finance and Administration Manager in the Department of Internal Medicine, Aga Khan University. He is an experienced financial management specialist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. In addition, he is a qualified Certified Public Accountancy (CPA) professional and he is currently pursuing an MBA in Finance and Project Management. 

With over 17 years’ experience in finance, Haron has previously worked with Strathmore University, Heritage Hotels and ACROSS South Sudan in various positions. Prior to joining Aga Khan University, he served as the Finance Officer for ACROSS South Sudan where he was responsible for strategy formulation, financial planning and reporting, budget management, control and systems compliance.  

Haron has a rich experience in people’s management, proven knowledge and expertise in adherence to financial policies, budget planning and development, monitoring expenditure and control. He is also skilled in guiding project holders on project financial management, well experienced in financial training and building capacity of finance teams. 

Haron’s social interests include consulting pro bono for non-profit organizations and social boards during his free time.​

Norah M. Matheka
Personal/ Program Assistant

Norah currently serves as the Personal/Program Assistant in the Department of Internal Medicine and TREE program (Research) in Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi. She brings over 20 years of experience in the field of business administration and management, community development, management of information systems and accounting skills.  

Norah is a graduate of Daystar University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management. In addition, she holds a higher diploma in Information Systems Management from Strathmore University. 

Some of Norah's achievements as the Personal/Program Assistant includes; establishing financial software data entry using QuickBooks, Shifting of financial reporting to a centralized system, creating standard operating procedures (SOPs), organizing various team-building activities. Spearheading and leading various research teams amongst others.

On the social front, Norah has been involved in various church committees and initiatives. Some of her favourite hobbies include meeting new people, aerobics, cooking, baking, reading and knitting.​

Eram Shehreen Khan

Personal Assistant to Chair, Department of Medicine

Eram currently serves as the Personal Assistant to the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine. Her key roles include organization and coordination of departmental activities related to the office of the chair of the Department of Medicine. 

Eram has over 16 years working experience with reputable organizations, which includes Kenya Sweets Limited, Starfreight Limited (Agility Logistics), Tronic Kenya Limited among others. She is well experienced in business administration, accounting and human resource management.

Prior to joining Aga Khan University, she worked as the Personal Assistant to the Managing Director, Impala Downtown Limited where she gained valuable experience in business administration and management. 

Eram believes in the contribution of everyone towards a particular cause. In her free time, she assists in the running of a children’s home for orphans in Nakuru, which not only fulfills her, but also enriches her soul.​

Maureen Maina  
Internal Medicine Administrative Assistant

Maureen currently serves as the Internal Medicine Administrative Assistant. She has over 8 years’ experience in business administration and human resource management.

Maureen holds a higher diploma in Business Management from the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM). In addition, she has attended training in Entrepreneurship and QuickBooks Software from the Royal Business School.

Prior to joining Aga Khan University Hospital, Maureen previously worked with various organizations such as Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), GEARR Consultants Limited, Sakai Trading Limited and Countrywide Properties Ltd. 

Her social interests include mission work having previously served as a missionary in various parts of the country including in Gulu, Uganda early in her career. She has also served as a member of the mission committee in her church. Maureen enjoys reading inspirational books, writing poetry and travelling.​
