Ehsan Solaimani

Persian Language Instructor






Ehsan Solaimani​​​ is a Persian language instructor​ at the Aga Khan University’s Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations (AKU-ISMC). Ehsan graduated from the University of Tehran with an MA (Distinction) in Applied Linguistics and worked as a language instructor for over 10 years in Tehran, Iran. He is currently doing his PhD in Psycholinguistics at the University of Essex where he is researching the way second language learners process syntactically complex sentences, with a focus on the role of working memory in successful language comprehensi​on. Ehsan also holds a BA in Electronic Engineering and enjoys programming in R, html and javascript to design psycholinguistic experiments and analyse behavioural data. In addition to Persian, he is proficient in English and Arabic and speaks a little bit of Spanish.​​​
