Boot Camp​​

Introduction and Aims

It is a 4-day intensive Boot Camp designed for postgraduate residents and interns. This will provide a solid foundation in essential clinical skills through simulation based learning in preparation for the unique context of Aga Khan University Hospital.

The Programme will facilitate the transition of participants from medical school to the hospital setting, while providing opportunities for the development of professional relationships and group cohesion in preparation for their clinical programmes​.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this Boot Camp the participants will be able to:

• Demonstrate both technical and soft skills in hospital contexts following standard protocols.
• Critically appraise their own practices while practicing in a safe, simulated environment.
• Demonstrate competence in 10 essential clinical skills and gain certification in Basic Life Support.
• Demonstrate skills and a confident, error-free approach while dealing with patients and their families in AKUH​.
