The Centre of Excellence for Trauma and Emergencies (CETE), collaborates with the Aga Khan Development Network​ partners, global academic institutions, public and private sectors, and funding agencies to champion multidisciplinary research and strengthen trauma and emergency systems, disaster preparedness, and emergency responsiveness, primarily in Pakistan and the rest of the developing world.​

Pakistan Life Savers Programme (PLSP)
Through its flagship Pakistan Life Savers Programme (PLSP), CETE aims to train 10 million Pakistani citizens in basic lifesaving skills of hands-only CPR and bleeding control.
PLSP is a public health partnership representing a consortium of healthcare insititutes throughout Pakistan.

Development of Pakistan Trauma Registry: Multihospital Digital Trauma Registry​

​The Centre is working toward establishing the Pakistan Trauma Registry to improve and strengthen trauma care in leading tertiary care hospitals in Karachi and evaluate the quality of care. 

Pakistan Trauma Registry is currently in the development and pilot testing phase and aims to amalgamate and study patient-reported disability outcomes (PROs) at one, three, six, and twelve months post-injury, eventually on a national level.
