Syed Muazzam Nasir
Research Coordinator
Dr. Syed Muazzam Nasir is a Research Coordinator working on two projects under What Works II: Right to Play Plus, which focuses on reducing violence against women and girls among adolescents, and SATH (Standing Together Against Harassment), which addresses workplace harassment within project-affiliated institutions. In this role, he oversees and monitors operational field activities, engages stakeholders and supports the implementation of project strategies.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery and a Master’s in Public Health. He previously worked as a Research Specialist on the Sehat Mand Khandaan Endline Qualitative Assessment, where he also contributed as a Report Writer. Before joining BMI, he worked as a Research Content Writer with an AKU faculty member and earlier served as an Assistant Manager and Monitoring Officer.
Dr. Nasir’s motivation stems from his strong interest in research and its potential to enhance community health and well-being. He was recognized on the Chancellor’s Honor Roll during his Master’s in Public Health and received a research-based poster award at the International Conference on Sustainable Goals, DUHS Karachi (2022).
He is passionate about advancing evidence-based interventions that strengthen public health and build community resilience.
