Our Vision and Mission
The Centre of Excellence in Women and Child Health, East Africa (CoEWCH EA), established in 2012, is an independent research entity in the Aga Khan University working in low and middle-income countries to advance reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health and rights, and improve the health and wellbeing of women, children, and adolescents.
Vision
To tackle women, children and adolescent health challenges through research, science, innovation, knowledge translation and capacity building, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Mission
As a Centre of Excellence in a world class African university, CoEWCH EA addresses some of the greatest public health concerns affecting our region, including sexual and reproductive health, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health, gender and inequalities, from a rights-based perspective.
