IHD International Conferences & Convenings
Like print and virtual publications, professional conferences provide an important platform for the sharing and dissemination of knowledge. In low- and middle-income regions of the Majority World, there are limited opportunities for research, policy, and practice professionals to share their work and benefit from the work of others. The response to the first two conferences affirmed our assumptions about the hunger for knowledge in the region. The success of these two events inspired the institute towards developing a consortium funding framework to raise funds to support the vision of establishing a permanent biennial conference.
