Department of Community Health Sciences Faculty visit at Mother & Child Health Research & Training Centre, Matiari​

The Centre's field Research Laboratory, Clinical Trial Unit, and Data Management Unit were explored by the 24 faculty members and residents, providing them with a firsthand experience of the Centre's cutting-edge facilities. These facilities, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, enable groundbreaking research and capacity-building programs.

During the visit, the group embarked on field visits to villages such as Mushtaq Hajano, UC Shah Alam Shah Ji Wasi, and Chatan Kolhi, where Dr. Fayaz Umrani highlighted insights about ongoing research studies. The visit shed light on the impact of the Centre's work on local communities, emphasizing the importance of their research on malnutrition, family planning, adolescent health, healthcare worker training, post-vaccine evaluations, and climate change.

The event celebrated the Centre's remarkable accomplishments, recognizing the tireless efforts of the entire MRTC’s research team. It also served as a reminder of the ongoing need for sustained efforts in the pursuit of better health outcomes for mothers and children.
