Public Speaking and Presentation Skills

Public speaking is a critical leadership skill for inspiring and influencing others, yet many capable professionals experience anxiety that can hold back their careers. This six-week executive education programme, designed for mid-career professionals, develops the art and science of effective public speaking. 

Drawing on global best practices and local insights, the course blends proven frameworks with practical exercises. Participants will engage in interactive lectures, peer practice, video analysis, and role-play to build confidence and mastery. 

Each week targets specific competencies - from speech structure and storytelling to visual design and delivery techniques.

​​Course Modules​

1. The Psychology of Public Speaking - Build a confident foundation in public speaking. Reflect on core best practices, nurturing a growth mindset, and the psychology behind stage fright so that nerves can become fuel.

2. Storytelling and Engaging Communication - Turn talks into stories that stick. Learn storytelling frameworks that will help you craft vivid, persuasive narratives.

3. Messaging - Sharpen your message for any audience. Use audience analysis, rapport-building, and message mapping to stay clear, relevant, and on-point.

4. Delivery - Make your delivery land. Refine pitch, tone, body language, and pacing while organising ideas for smooth, confident delivery.

5. Visual Design - Design slides that amplify (not distract). Apply clean principles, Pyramid Thinking, and simple tech tips for polished, readable visuals.

6. Capstone Presentation - Put it all together. Deliver a tight 3–5 minute talk to a supportive audience and get actionable feedback to cement growth.

7. Graduation - Reflect, distil key wins, and set a practice plan. Celebrate progress and define next steps for continued speaking mastery.​

Programme Structure
