Postgraduate Medical Education
Welcome to the Department of Imaging and Diagnostic Radiology at the Medical College, Aga Khan University based at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya (AKUH,N). We are committed to patient care, high quality education and research in diagnostic imaging and image guided therapies. Our vision is to train and develop radiologists who have in-depth knowledge, skills, attitudes and professional competencies.
We offer specialist training in Imaging and Diagnostic Radiology leading to an award of Master of Medicine (MMed) degree. Residents benefit from hands-on instruction from exemplary faculty with state-of-the-art technology and facilities. This is a four-year training programme. Core learning experiences include:

We also provide continuous professional development teaching to technical staff and to the medical fraternity associated with AKUH, N.
Faculty
Our outstanding faculty is dedicated to offering the highest quality of instruction in teaching, research and scholarship. They sit on well recognised national and international bodies such as African Society of Radiology, Mediterranean and African Society of Ultrasound, Kenya Association of Radiologists’ and Kenya Society of Ultrasound and Biology.
Research
The department undertakes research with focus on fetal imaging.
Clinical Hospital and Regional Services
As part of AKUH,N the Department conducts some of East and Central Africa's most sophisticated range of radiology examinations.
