Job Summary
The purpose of this assignment is to carry out a policy analysis and synthesize evidence from policy documents on provisions made to manage psychosocial well-being and resilience of health care workers in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. This work will be part of the health workers’ well-being and resilience study at the Institute for Human Development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a policy analysis plan;
  • Carry out a comprehensive search for existing policy documents in each of these countries and systematically analyze these documents;
  • Identify gaps in each country and in the region;
  • Draw policy recommendations for each country and for each region; and
  • Develop and submit a report of the exercise.

Requirements

  • Masters to PhD degree in Public Health, Public Policy or other allied fields with a minimum of 5 years related work experience;
  • Demonstrable experience in developing policy documents;
  • Experience working in human resource development in the East African region;
  • Good report writing and communication skills;
  • A team player with ability to work independently with minimal supervision; and
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in service delivery and ethics.
