Research Coordinator, Health Policy & Systems Research

Introduction

An exciting opportunity to conduct health policy and systems research on how to improve the quality of healthcare provided by private doctors(GPs) in Pakistan. This study is run jointly by the Aga Khan University and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), and will offer opportunities for close collaboration with international colleagues and career development.

The position will be based full-time in Pakistan

Responsibilities

The candidate will be an integral part of the research and resulting publications, with responsibilities including: 
  • conducting qualitative interviews with health care providers
  • conducting literature reviews and policy landscape analyses
  • organising and conduct project meetings and maintaining minutes 
  • planning, organise and manage research activities, including logistical arrangements
  • ensuring project activities, deliverables and their timelines as met as per the project plan
  • performing qualitative data analysis, assisting in writing scientific papers, and assisting in activities for dissemination of research findings.

Requirements

You should have:

  • Masters in public health or political science related field (or Bachelors with substantial work experience)
  • Previous experience of conducting qualitative research in Pakistan
  • Excellent English writing & communicating skills
  • Proficient in using standard computer software 
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
