Introduction

The Umeed-e-Nau (UeN) initiative of the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Women and Child Health aims to support the introduction, scale-up and further piloting of high quality and high impact interventions to improve Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (MNCAH) in Pakistan by harnessing the potential of both public and private sectors, coupled with introduction of women and girls empowerment interventions. UeN has two major components; one is to introduce proven effective MNCAH interventions at scale in 8 districts and the second is to generate evidence through innovative approaches to improve MNCAH while included in the public health programme in Pakistan. 

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to supervise project activities related to field and data management to ensure quality control, while maintaining good working relationship with staff, community and various stakeholders involved. 

Specific responsibilities include to: 
  • develop high quality research proposals for funding, conduct research and contribute in publications
  • ensure proper identification and registration of patients as per study protocols 
  • supervise and monitor domiciliary visits monitor and report on the disease surveillance 
  • provide training to the study staff as per the protocols and guidelines of study 
  • ensure the completeness, proper filing and archiving of the Case Report Files (CRFs)ensure that the double entry is done for data entry 
  • prepare and compile periodic study progress reports and present the study results as per the requirements.

Requirements

You should have: 
  • Master’s degree in Anthropology, Sociology, Epidemiology & Biostatistics, Health Policy & Management, Public Health or Healthcare Management 
  • at least three years of experience in in conducting training on research and data collection techniques, and anthropometry 
  • excellent organization skills and self-motivated 
  • excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills 
  • skills on proven mixed research methods 
  • ability to work effectively in teams integrity and strong research ethics 
  • proficiency in the use of computers particularly in MS Office package 
  • willingness to work in community setting and travel as per work requirements
This is a close-ended position to be based in Tando Muhammad Khan.
