The Aga Khan University is an institution of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), with global reach and local relevance. The university has 35 years’ experience in the fields of education and research, serving populations across three continents. In East Africa the Aga Khan University is focused on establishing a consulting service that provides technical expertise to students and organisations across the region.
Terms of Reference
AKU is celebrating forty years since the University first received Charter in Karachi, Pakistan in 1983. While the world is rapidly changing AKU’s dedication to standards of excellence, commitment to quality and providing access to world class facilities have not changed. Dedicated to providing Impact, Quality, Relevance and Access (IQRA), AKU 40 years' celebration should highlight these goals, while not forgetting our global academic and industry achievements, alumni progress and successes, strengthening and widening of networks and partnerships and building a community of service for the world. The overarching aim of the year-long celebrations is to share all of the aforementioned successes AKU has achieved while also highlighting individual country and entity achievements and capabilities. Entities can choose to highlight their past achievements or current capabilities via multimedia formats, in-person debates, discussions, round-tables or other fora, or a selection of multiple
