Introduction

Responsibilities

The duration of this traineeship programme will be of six months, upon successful completion of which, you may be offered a permanent position as a Medical Receptionist depending on the availability of positions and satisfactory performance during the traineeship period.

During the traineeship programme, you will be responsible to:

  • check and process laboratory tests 
  • provide lab tests related information to the patients 
  • hand over lab tests reports to patients 
  • handle cash and credit transactions, and maintain the records of the excess/shortage of cash according to the laboratory policy on a dailybasis
  • check and confirm test requirements with patients, and give necessary verbal / written information / instructions, so that the specimens are collected as per the lab test requirements
  • handle telephone enquiries regarding lab tests and take patient’s appointments for special tests
  • carry out responsibilities as a Phlebotomist as well at assigned locations.

Requirements

You should have:

  • recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably in Science-related disciplines
  • interest in phlebotomy and related procedures
  • excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
  • ability to effectively work independently as well as in teams
  • willingness to work in shifts.
