Introduction

The position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the successful candidate is primarily responsible for conducting the administrative assistance to the site investigator and coordinating the Demographic and Clinical Characteristics of COVID-19, and the Biorepository and Data Registry at Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi. 

  • Evaluate screened patients for study eligibility;
  • Work with PI to provide study information (verbal and written) to participants and obtain written informed consent;
  • Record any adverse reactions occurring immediately post vaccination;
  • Complete the Case Report Forms and update database;
  • Work with the project manager to order for supplies as at when required;
  • Maintain confidential information about participants securely.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must possess a Diploma as a Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse. S/he must be registered and with a valid license from the Nursing Council of Kenya with at least 1-2 years of working in a research setup. S/he should have good communication, interpersonal, and excellent computer skills.
