Introduction

The Umeed-e-Nau (UeN) initiative of the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Women and Child Health aims to support the introduction, scale-up and further piloting of high quality and high impact interventions to improve Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (MNCAH) in Pakistan by harnessing the potential of both public and private sectors, coupled with introduction of women and girls empowerment interventions. UeN has two major components; one is to introduce proven effective MNCAH interventions at scale in 8 districts and the second is to generate evidence through innovative approaches to improve MNCAH while included in the public health programme in Pakistan.

Responsibilities

You will be required to assist the supervisor in all the administrative and logistic activities pertaining to organizing, planning and execution of different events in the department. Specific responsibilities will be to:
  • provide administrative support to the department
  • prepare costing for the events and coordinate with other support service departments for administrative support and provisioning of required services and items
  • assist supervisor in collating receipts and invoices of events and submission of those for processing
  • ensure maintenance of proper information storage and retrieval, and orderly filing system for all necessary records as per the requirements
  • coordinate with Finance and banks for reimbursements and official claims
  • handle verbal and written correspondences within and outside the organization
  • maintain financial and inventory records of the department.

Requirements

You should have:
  • a Master’s degree, preferably in Business Administration
  • at least two years of related experience, preferably in a reputable healthcare or research organization
  • good interpersonal skills particularly communication skills, preferably with some command over local languages
  • proficiency in the use of computer applications, particularly MS Office
  • ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently
  • resilience and ability to cope-up with work pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
