The Audio-Visual - Learning Resource Centre at the Stadium Road campus, aims to provide high-quality audiovisual support and learning opportunities to the faculty, students and staff for curricular and extra-curricular activities at the university.
The AV-LRC is open from Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.

The fair price shop "Basics" is available for AKU faculty, staff, students and volunteers. The shop sells essential household items at lower prices: customers can save an average of 10% compared to full priced retail outlets.
NOTE: The CHC Cafetaria (Ground Floor) is currently not serving lunch or dinner. Only snack items are available from 10 am - 6 pm.

Aga Khan University Hospital is a state-of-the-art hospital providing primary and tertiary health care. Students who fall ill need to visit the Community Health Centre and see the Student Health Physician for advice. Students are covered according to the Student Health Plan.

Student can access the internet using Wi-Fi available across all over campus. They are required to sign in using their AKU ID and password to access the OneAKU internet services.
Internet can also be accessed through computers at AVLRC (located in the Medical College quad) by all students.
Lockers are available for use by all students who do not reside in on-campus housing. All users must abide by the following rules and regulations:
- Items kept in the locker are a Student’s own responsibility. The University is not responsible for the loss, damage, or destruction of any property stored in lockers.
- Complaints relating to vandalism, theft, or other such incidents should be made to the Security Department.
- Transfer of locker to any other student is strictly prohibited; lockers are for the assigned student only.
- In the event that a padlock gets lost, broken, or damaged the student must bear the cost of replacement i.e. Rs. 100/- which will be deducted from their University deposit (for Medical College students) or deposited with SONAM Administration (for SONAM students).
For SONAM students lockers are located:
Adjacent to the Rufaydah courtyard beside the female washroom which is next to the CIME entrance gate. Non-hostilities can obtain a locker by contacting the SONAM Administration (Ext 5405 / 5474, located ground floor, room # 109)
For Medical College students lockers are located:
- Within the Multi-Disciplinary laboratory courtyard;
- Within the male washrooms near the Male Hostel;
- Within the female washrooms by the Multi-Disciplinary Laboratory building.
All non-hostelites can obtain a locker by contacting the Medical College Administration (Ext 4579 / 4581), located Deans Office 1st floor.
For IED students lockers are located:
- Within the male Student Lounge, ground floor, Block B
- Within the female Student Lounge, ground floor, Block B
All non-hostelites can obtain a locker by contacting the IED Administration (Ext 8650), located on 2nd floor, Block B.
The University assumes no responsibility for the loss, damage, or destruction of students’ personal property. Possessions are one’s own responsibility.
In cases where one loses or finds something, it needs to be reported to the SONAM/Medical College/IED Administration for their advice. An incident report form must be completed online on the OneAKU portal. Navigate to the Portal, select Incident Reporting form, and submit the Incident Report online to the Security department for necessary action.
The Mail & Dispatch Department is responsible for dispatch, receipt, and distribution of official and personal parcels as well as collection and distribution of intra-departmental mails. The department also operates the Franchise Post Office located on the campus to facilitate the expeditious dispatch of the official and private mails
For courier service, the office is located behind the Basic store. Further information can be obtained by dialing Ext. 2829.
NOTE: The main prayer area is closed until further notice due to COVID-19 physical distancing guidelines.
A segregated prayer area for men and women is located behind the Main Laboratory. Prayer facilities are also available on the 1st floor, CIME above the CIME outlet.
Students may report improper activity such as fraud, harassments, theft, abuse, etc online. Policy details are available here.
The Safety and Security Department has an Emergency Response Team (ERT) for quick response to cater to emergencies. To activate ERT in time of your need you just have to call Security Control at Ext. # 1900/2682 and state the nature of the emergency. Immediately the Emergency Response Team will be rushed to your location to assist you in controlling both the situations and further damage if any.

NOTE: Due to phased re-opening in light of COVID-19, the facility is open daily from 12 noon - 9 pm with these services available. Please check the amended timings of the pool and adhere to the SOPs in place.
The University Sports and Rehabilitation Centre at the Stadium Road campus can be accessed by students to meet a comprehensive range of sporting, recreational and rehabilitation needs.
Students will be required to bring their own sports gear e.g., badminton racket, shuttlecock, table tennis racket, tennis racket, etc. When visiting the Sports and Rehabilitation Centre, students are strictly advised to wear appropriate sports gear and athletic shoes with non-marking Soles only.
The Centre is open seven days a week (unless otherwise notified), Monday through Sunday from 12 noon – 9:00pm.

Students’ membership of the Sports Centre culminates upon completion of the respective academic programme.
NOTE: All Students' Lounges are closed until further notice due to COVID-19 precautions. Medical College Student Lounge is accessible daily to students for lunch (12:00 noon to 3:00 pm) and dinner (6:00 - 8:00 pm).
Dedicated student lounges are available for Medical College, SONAM and IED students. Access is through student ID cards.
Medical College
The Medical College Students’ Lounge is located on the first floor above the Kurji Periodical Library. The lounge remains open 24/7. The newly renovated student lounge has vending machine facilities which includes a coffee machine. The lounge has Quiet Zone, TV lounge and main sitting area.
SONAM
The SONAM Students’ Lounge is located on the ground floor at Rufayda Al-Aslamiya Building. The lounge remains open 24/7. The newly renovated student lounge has vending machine facilities which include a coffee machine. The lounge has Quiet Zone, TV lounge and main sitting area. Access to the lounge is through student ID card.
IED
The IED Male Students Lounge is located on the Ground Floor of Block B in Karimabad Campus. The IED Female Students Lounge is also located on the Ground Floor of Block B in Karimabad Campus.
The University does not have an in-house transport service.
Day Scholars may contact private transport contractors in person to avail the facilities. For transport contractors details contact SONAM administration (important – the SONAM administration is not responsible for any coordination).
For transport pools or cars driven to the University, the parking lot at the helipad may be used. To be able to use the Parking lot, parking stickers should be obtained from the Safety and Security Department.
Hostel residents may request for transport from AKU transport in cases of emergencies, and airport pick up and drop (on payment basis). For these requests, they can contact their respective hostel Managers: Male Hostel (Ext 4420) and Female Hostel (Ext 5455).
