Victoria Hall King's Cross has won RIBA National Award for architecture in 2018. The building was among 49 projects in the UK being awarded for their architectural excellence.
RIBA’s reflection on the building: “The architect has raised the bar for the design quality of student residences where the immaculate detailing and high quality, natural finishes convey a sense of permanence as well as reference both the adobe architecture of the Middle East and the industrial heritage of King’s Cross.”
Victoria Hall is student accommodation in the heart of King’s Cross, London. It’s an 11-storey building designed by award-winning London-based
Stanton Williams architects. The building houses students from AKU-ISMC and others and has stylish communal spaces, which include a gym, reading room, meeting and A/V room and a lounge area.
Victoria Hall also has two outdoor spaces – a courtyard on the first floor and a terraced garden on the eighth floor, both designed by Vladimir Djurovic who also designed the Aga Khan Park in Toronto.
