Ms. Louisa Lambregts has joined the Networks of Teaching and Learning and Blended and Digital Learning as a Digital Learning Specialist for 6 months. Louisa joined us on January 12th 2016. Louisa’s appointment has been made possible through the Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC) CADEX Programme which provides AKDN field agencies the opportunity to engage Canadian development professionals in support of agency institutional priorities.
Louisa will be working with the Network of Teaching and Learning to support faculty and students across all AKU entities to enhance effective teaching and learning with technology. Her primary responsibility will be to develop a digital teaching and learning strategy for the university as well as its implementation plan. She will also design and implement professional development activities (including consultation clinics) for faculty on the effective use of technology in teaching, including the use of a learning management system.Louisa has over 12 years’ experience in higher education as an educational technologist and trainer, teacher, multimedia developer, and instructional designer. She is currently an Educational Technologist with Algonquin College’s Learning and Teaching Services Department in Ottawa. Louisa has supported faculty to integrate educational technologies with a focus on efficient workflows and pedagogical effectiveness. She has also delivered training sessions on integrating various educational technologies into courses and the classroom setting.
