​Orga​nized ​by the AKU Medical College's De​partment​ of Surgery and Surgery Interest Group, from February 11-13, 2022 in Karachi, the conference will bring together national and international experts, providing a platform to exchange robust ideas and learn from each other.​ ​

Student Session:

This year, SIG along with Department of Surgery has organized a range of talks and panel discussions to explore the world of surgical research and what lies ahead. National and International Faculty will be joining us for this session to ponder their thoughts on Data science, surgical research and the emerging technology of robotics and artificial intelligence in medical science. Discussion will also be held on conducting research in medical school and beyond.

Want to talk to surgeons and de-mystify their lives? Got interesting questions bubbling in your mind and want to inquire from renowned surgeons? Never got a chance to have a proper conversation with a surgeon? Get ready, your time has come!

The 7th AKU Annual Surgical Conference brings to you “Conversations with Surgeons”, an opportunity for all surgical enthusiasts to meet and talk one to one with renowned national and international surgical faculty!

The event will be taking place virtually on Zoom on Sunday, 13th February 2022 at 7 PM PST. You will get a chance to interact with surgeons on one-to-one basis.​

SurgFest

Time to don your thinking caps and put your critical thinking skills to the ultimate test as we bring to you SurgFest: Decoding Surgical Research, our first ever all virtual surgical research competition! Team up with the strongest decoders you know for some intense problem solving, involving close to life surgical scenarios. And do not worry if you are new to this, our mentors will have you covered!

Pre event: 5th and 6th February 2022

Main event: 11th February 2022

ACCME accredited​ certificate will be awarded to all participants. Winners teams will get a cash prize of Rs.15,000/- along with signature gifts from SIG.
