Lot Quality Assurance Sampling (LQAS) is a two-stage sampling plan applied for rapid monitoring of coverage of health intervention. LQAS is a relatively rapid and inexpensive approach to data collection and is primarily used for Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) purposes. This method is used to empower programme managers to evaluate programme performance. The LQAS method enables these managers to assess achievement of programmes’ objectives and targets within a specific unit of interest (a geographical area, a facility, an organization, or any other catchment area).
