​9. Reproductive Endocrinology

Reproductive Endocrinology group is engaged in studies focused towards better understanding of the interaction of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis in carrying out reproductive functions. Group uses in vivoand in vitro methodologies in these investigations. Group has a well established cell culture laboratory to study response of tissues and cells from hypothalamic, pituitary and gonadal sources.

CURRENT PROJECTS

  • Role of leptin in the secretion of  gonadotrophins from rat pituitary gland: Effect of age and sex
  • Role of Orexins in the secretion of testosterone from testicular cells.
  • Effect of Nigella Sativus extract on testicular functions.
