As part of their Master's project, each resident is encouraged to carry out a meaningful and relevant research project which they should aim to have published in a peer reviewed journal. Recent projects have included recording the haematology and coagulation reference range values in the local population. There has also been important reporting of some of the characteristics of lymphoproliferative disorders encountered in our setting.

In the future, we plan to carry out more substantial research and to be involved in clinical trials.
