Welcome to the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Aga Khan University East Africa Dar es Salaam campus.

To all residency applicants, on behalf of the Aga Khan University, I wish to thank you for your interest in our residency programme.

I'm privileged to be the first interim chair of this newly established programme. As the first chair, I am looking forward to spearheading the University's vision and mission and see the department emerge as the leader in terms care of women in Tanzania by providing innovative and comprehensive educational opportunities for residents. We intend to be regional leaders in patient safety and quality of care, inter-professional team work and improvement of the community we serve.

We provide excellent patient centered care, and in doing so we are confident to generate residents who are professionally competent, with highest quality of education. The department has strong commitment to the advancement of global women's health, research and teaching of all aspects in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. 

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is dedicated to continued excellence and growth as we carry out our missions of education, research, clinical care, advocacy, and community service​​.
