All users registered with the Library are entitled to borrow materials. Details on registration and lending privileges are explained in the Rules page.
Most users are allowed to take a maximum of 15 items for an initial loan of 3 weeks and renew these materials once for another 3 weeks.
Questions about renewal of items, payment of bills and general circulation issues can be directed to the Circulation Desk.
Aga Khan Library operates on an informal basis with librarians available to help students, staff and visitors with queries on an ad-hoc basis. Librarians are available at the reference desk during opening hours to assist in finding relevant materials for research and teaching, provide assistance for IT and library technologies, and answer enquiries regarding the library account.
Term & Research Papers Assistance
For in-depth research questions, users can book an appointment with one of the librarians. Please let us know the nature of your enquiry and what you need to research so the librarians can do some preparation beforehand.
The librarians carry out induction sessions for new staff and students during Orientation Week at the beginning of the academic programme.
The Aga Khan Library team also offers refresher sessions for dissertation preparation and during the term time runs in-depth workshops in different topics: citing, referencing and plagiarism, use of electronic resources, avanced information retrieval, etc.
